Business Model
Skill Gaming Classification
Per the Terms of Service (Section 3): JoyFlick offers skill-based gameplay experiences, including asynchronous player-versus-player formats. Outcomes are determined by player skill and performance, as measured by the platform's scoring rules for the applicable game and contest. This positions JoyFlick as a skill-gaming platform, not gambling.
Match Format
Asynchronous PvP (play-and-compare). Each player plays the game independently to produce a score. The platform matches two players' scores and the higher score wins the prize pool. If a match is not paired within 24 hours, the entry is refunded.
JoyFlick guarantees that both players in a match play the exact same generated level. This is a core fairness mechanism — the outcome is determined purely by player skill, not by one player getting an easier or harder level than their opponent.
Revenue Model: Platform Fee (Rake)
The platform collects revenue as a per-contest fee deducted from the combined entry fees. The ToS example (Section 7): "$0.60 entry each; $1.00 prize; $0.20 fee."
All Games (Unified Pricing)
Rake: 16.67% of total entry fees (platform fee / total collected). All games use the same pricing tiers.
| Tier | Entry Fee (per player) | Total Collected (2 players) | Prize Pool | Platform Fee | Rake |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Skirmish | $0.60 | $1.20 | $1.00 | $0.20 | 16.67% |
| Clash | $1.20 | $2.40 | $2.00 | $0.40 | 16.67% |
| Showdown | $2.40 | $4.80 | $4.00 | $0.80 | 16.67% |
| Gambit | $9.60 | $19.20 | $16.00 | $3.20 | 16.67% |
Previously Solitaire had separate, lower pricing ($0.53/$1.05/$2.10/$8.40 with ~5% rake). This was a bug and has been corrected — Solitaire now uses the same standard pricing as all other games.
Diamond Modes
All games also offer Diamond-entry contests — entry using Diamonds (non-monetary internal currency), no cash prizes. Diamond modes generate no direct entry-fee revenue and serve user acquisition and engagement.
The Terms of Service still reference a "Practice Mode (Free)" contest type with no entry fee and no winnings. However, this mode is not prominently featured on the live site as of 2026-04-21.
Virtual Currencies
USD Balances (USDC on Base)
Per ToS Section 4: The platform may represent balances in "USD" or "dollars" as a user-friendly display of a supported digital asset (currently USDC on Base). These are not bank deposits and not legal tender.
Bonus Dollars
Per ToS Section 6: Promotional non-withdrawable credits.
- No cash redemption value, not transferable
- Can be used for contest entry
- Forfeited upon withdrawal, account suspension/termination, or promotion expiry
- May be "realized" through contest settlement mechanics
Diamonds
Per ToS Section 6: Internal engagement-focused currency.
- Not a digital asset, not on-chain, not redeemable for money
- Cannot be withdrawn or transferred
- Earned through activities (daily logins, live ops, rewards)
- May be modified, reset, removed, or expired at platform discretion
- Can be used for Diamond-entry contests — entry with Diamonds, prizes in Diamonds (no monetary value)
Payment Architecture
Deposits (Top-Ups)
Per ToS Section 5: Players add value by transferring supported digital assets to their wallet. The ToS describes this as transferring a supported stablecoin where "$X corresponds to X units." Transfers are final once confirmed on-chain. Players are responsible for gas and third-party provider fees.
Withdrawals
Per ToS Section 8, two methods:
- Crypto withdrawal -- transfer supported digital assets to a wallet address on the supported network(s) (e.g., Base)
- Virtual card withdrawal -- via a third-party partner that provides a virtual credit card and related services, referred to as the "Card Partner"
The ToS does not name specific deposit or withdrawal providers beyond "Card Partner." Withdrawal fees and minimum thresholds may apply. KYC, sanctions screening, and fraud checks may be required before processing.
Wallet Architecture
Per ToS Section 4: Non-custodial design. A cryptographic wallet is created via Privy (or another designated provider). The platform uses smart contracts, session keys, and permissions to enable gameplay transactions. The platform does not act as custodian and does not have unilateral access to transfer assets. Player funds are held in the Battle Wallet smart contract on Base — see that page for deployment addresses, settlement mechanics, and security guarantees.
Target Audience
- Age: 18+ (ToS Section 2)
- Positioning: "Play games online. Win real money." -- casual skill gaming for a broad audience
- Game types: Simple, accessible games (candy matching, cannon shooting, card solitaire, block puzzles, score-chasing)
Legal & Compliance
Legal Entity

Eligibility / Geographic Restrictions
Per ToS Section 2: Players may only participate in money-entry contests where such participation is legal and where the platform makes the functionality available. Players are "solely responsible for complying with all laws applicable to you." The ToS does not enumerate specific restricted US states or countries -- it places the compliance burden on the user.
Players must not be: (a) subject to economic/trade sanctions, or (b) a citizen, resident, or organized in a jurisdiction where e-gaming is forbidden.

Per ToS Section 2: The platform may verify eligibility (age, location) and may restrict access until verification is completed. Third-party providers may be used. Per ToS Section 8: KYC, sanctions screening, and fraud checks may be required before withdrawals.

- Cheating, exploiting bugs, bots, automation, modified clients
